>>2672040I live in see the sky country near vancouver, and have a two pesticide licenses. I also help out the local invasive plant Council deal with shit.
Knowing a lot of farmers I can get Cut Rate deals on small quantities that is under your about 20 L of concentrates.
One plant that's a real nasty one to deal with is burdock because the local councils won't deal with it. And pesticides they don't want to use so I have to go in and cut these little plants down so they don't reproduce new seeds.
Also the last few years, I've been cutting out scotch broom everywhere I see it along the highway to thin it out a bit and I've managed to get about 80% of it but I'm moving later this year so I'm going to have to find the time to deal with the rest of it or hope that somebody takes up after me. Doing it for free is a big pain in the ass because large amounts of it are up above the highway in the hydro right of ways so getting up there is a hassle.
>>2672477Dicamba is one of those pesticides that drift a lot when the temperatures get high so you have to use care with it. I used to work for Weed Man and we came up with the trimix formula of 24d dicamba and Meko prop years ago. All those people that are causing damage with it we're using it against label procedures such as aerial spraying is absolutely not supposed to be done with it.
>>2678291They've actually put up signs in Cedar Sky country not to do this and people getting caught get fined. You're disturbing the natural habitat and the rocks on the ground you've covered for insects and other invertebrates
>>2681083English Holly is a big problem in western Canada birds like robins and pigeons Etc don't have much to eat at this time of the year but these trees still have lots of berries on them so they eat them and then go Roost in the woods and spread the seeds there. Luckily all the seeds do is growing to male trees so they can't propagate very far beyond where these female trees that have berries on them grow.
