Just be sure that the controls aren't too complicated, that it's waterproof, and that the battery lasts long enough for your intended use. A rechargeable battery is probably better for a civilian, the only point of CR123A nowadays is to be able to change them fast when needed and when there isn't any way to recharge your batteries. The pros will talk about thermal regulation and shit like that but it honestly doesn't really matter for casual use. Strobes are also a meme, looking directly at a 1000+ lumen flashlight will make you temporarily blind no matter what. I've been using a cheap Klarus E1 since 2019 or so and it served me well, I never had a problem with it. Flashlight autism is even more intense than knife enthusiasts autism, don't think too much about it.
