Someone (could be a bot, could be a person queueing up a bot) makes an obviously inflammatory/provocative post, then lets the bot argue with people until the thread 404s. They always speak with perfect grammar in a very robotic prose (e.g. “No. I am not going to stop setting trees on fire. There is nothing wrong with it. You can’t stop me”) when arguing for the most insane shit. And trolls get bored, but these bots will keep at it forever.
Pretty sure the goal is just to waste people’s time, or train bots to waste people’s time. Three letter agencies would rather have you sitting at your computer angry at a bot than holding a picket sign in front of their headquarters.
