>>2792589aw mate, one time i'd been drinking in a cabin with some guys, but the place i was staying was about quarter of a mile north along an unclear track through the mountains.
but it was foggy af outside, i'm talking 6 feet of visibility.
turn on your torch and it only light up the fog and blinds you more.
so I'm walking along this track and long story short, i take the wrong side of a fork in the track that i didn't even know was there because it is so faint and unclear even in normal conditions.
and i'm walking, and i come upon a cabin ... but it's not mine. i realise it's one i've seen from afar, i try to retrace my steps but i can't even find the way back to where i was, i nearly get totally lost in the fog again but find the new cabin again ... i panic a little bit now because it is night time, i am getting colder and wetter and i only have a light jacket on and a bottle of water. i am fucked if i have to stay out all night, i'm shivvering so it's hypothermia if i stay out, consider kicking in the new cabin but my drunk brain thinks
>"i have to atleast try and find my cabin!"and so i set off in roughly the direction i think it is ... this was a fucking stupid idea.
i am not barreling off into the fog, blind with no compass (btw i ordered a new compass for this trip because mine was fucked ... it arrived 1 hour after i left for this trip)
so now i realise how stupid i have been, but i have to keep going, i am in unfamiliar ground with only a vague idea of where i am going then ... I SEE A FUCKING LIGHT IN THE DISTANCE!!!!! i walk towards it and signal to it by moving my hand infront of my light and they signal back and i am so fucking relieved, i shout out to them to keep the light on, they do. i ask who it is and they say "two fellers and your friend!" (my friend was also staying at the cabin) i approach and it is two stoners who were also staying at my cabin who came outside to have a spliff and cook their food. they saved my life.
