I have one it works fairly well. When camping the small opening is a pain to refill but backpacking with a sawyer is perfect. I want to try the m!go since it has large / small caps. But it’s out of stock. There are also reports of leaking but o-rings might be a simple fix.

I was homeless and broke so I only used birch oil for my canvas tent (Thornhill 3x3m). It doesn't breathe as well as before but at least it's not leaking now. Collecting all that oil took an eternity kek. The tent is dark green and now it has subtle black spots on it.

I was watching youtube videos people made of their appalachian trail hikes and they ALL had smart water water bottles. It's not about the water, they were obviously repeatedly refilling them with filtered stream water. Maybe they were compatible with the filter. It was just surprising to see them using disposable water bottles.
But I would think someone would use a Nalgene.

SmartWater bottles (and the CNOK Thru Bottle) are also tall and slim compared to a typical Nalgene. The former take up less space in side pockets. And of those side pockets have front access, slender bottles that taper toward the cap are a lot easier to slip back in while still wearing the backpack.

Oh man I guess I got eaten by a bear every night when I used vanilla scent in my tent for 5 years, or when I used apple cinnamon for 10 years before that, or plain cinnamon for 5 years before that.
