>>2855405I can relate to this, it's not an autism thing like most people thing, I think it's just the way we've trained our brains in the modern world.
Some or even most people on the trail don't actually want to talk, even if you do, so I just started assuming that so as not to bother anyone and play it safe, and over time that habit gets ingrained.
I think it's the same with why most dudes now adays don't cold approach or talk to women, because they've either had bad experiences with it or known a lot of people who have, so we just all become less social and never actually develop beyond this point. Sad world.
I think I actually have an easier time talking to other dudes because it's just far easier to relate to them and find the commonality needed to break out of the habit, but with women they're just always on edge, and I personally don't want to be accused of rape or be called creepy so I just don't even bother anymore.
Like, imagine you try to talk to a girl on the way up a trail, and she just goes down the trail telling everyone "Hey theres some creep up there that tried to talk to me," and then everyone I meet when I'm heading back down all thinks I'm a creep, that's basically how it works. Idk, I just can't trust women in any capacity anymore.
