otherwise its something i would recommend, its delicious and really easy to make
1:1 spruce shoots and raw cane sugar in a jar and let it sit in sunlit window until syrupy, shaking the jar once a day
filter the syrup through a cheese cloth or similar and store in a jar
no idea about the shelf life, but it can be frozen
