Guys, I genuinely need some help.
I've been going out and trying to get more fit to make it easier, but my feat are falling apart.
I can hardly last a couple of miles before I have to stop from the pain.
I'm not going to lie, I'm a fat shit, but there has to be some solution anyway.
I've been using my nice shit kickers, but I'm beginning to think that they aren't designed for heavier people.
How important is the tightness to your foot? Like I can feel my foot sliding around in the boot just a bit and it makes it painful to go downhill. Is this kind of normal?
Are there any recommended soles or something? Every sole I've tried ends up sliding up almost immediately and becomes a bundle of bent shit in the arc of my foot.
Do they make like special socks that cool you better? My feet get way fucking hot in boots, but I'm guessing that's also pretty normal.
I'm thinking of getting boots specifically for hiking, I definitely want some for like a bit slippery or not level terrain, like I've seen cleats on some of the em, but I also want them to at least somewhat work in the city and on hard surfaces. Or should I get two different methods of footwear for this?
I'm willing to spend like $300
