>be me>walk outside of my house a couple hours after sundown>look to my left and see a huge black bear about 10 feet away from me>in a fraction of a second the bear runs straight for a tree and climbs up>I stand in shock for a couple minutes just looking at the bear>walk back inside and close the doorI am glad he was more afraid of me than I was of him, he was so close I wouldn't have had time to draw my 642. This was the first time I was ever frightened by a black bear. They come in my neighborhood often, but they normally stay at least 100 feet away from people. I will sometimes walk out at night just to watch them knocking over peoples trash cans lol. They are honestly just big puppy dogs, but I would sure hate to have to fight one.
