>>361850No. If you were going out you always need a map and compass. No navigator relyies on just a gps or phone, that would be retarded. From a small scale map you could easily input lat long coords into your standalone gps and be set. You could bring up logs, check waypoints, and do everything else you would normally. The phone would be useless in that instance except for givingg you an annoying pinch to zoom pre-loaded map that will die in 5 hours time.
