>>2081624I adopted a small local trail this year. The trailhead was completely trashed so I bought a trash barrel and I go an empty it once a week or so. I walk the trail a few times a week and pick up the trash. The two things I find the most are masks and those little plastic bags filled with dog shit. I enjoy doing it and it's a small way for me to give back. Although, I thought maybe if I keep the trail clean people might not trash it, but that doesn't seem to be the case. No sooner do I pick it up then someone does it again.
A wise man once told me: There are those who make a mess and those who clean things up.
