After finishing lunch we started heading down a long flat stretch of trail towards Fox Lake. I put both of my trekking poles in my right hand and took my eyes off the trail for two seconds when I stepped on a rock weird and twisted my ankle. 9 miles into a 70 mile hike I twisted my damn ankle. It hurt pretty bad. I was having sharp pains while walking downhill. I thought I had just ended our trip. I just kept walking and told my brother that it didn’t hurt too bad and we could continue. We still had six miles to go to our first camp spot at Kidney Lakes. I was gonna give it the night to see if my ankle would be ok to continue cuz it wasn’t swelling.
