>>1751089I have a similar GPSMAP 64. A little pricey (get it used), but easy to use and great battery life. It's easy to load up coordinates or trails into it via Garmin Basecamp. Also has a very nice barometric altimeter.
It's also a lot of fun to load up the .gpx tracking history into Google Earth (not the browser version). It shows you your time, average speed, and elevation profile. It's a lot better than using a shitty phone app that sells your location data, is riddled with ads, and changes its UI every 3 months.
