Sure it took a bit longer, you have to get into the industry and work up to a well paid climbing position. But it only took my a year and a bit to blag my way into a decent position. Now I am nearly 4 years and making good money. Plus it's a fairly chill industry. No one bats an eye lid when I quit to go and hike for a couple of months. I've always worked hard and caused no drama so companies are pretty quick to hire me again when I am back. I've secured a job the day after I got back from the GR11.
