>>1872013>Absolutely, the atomized individual is a foolish modern experiment that only benefits capital; move away for a "good job", don't meet your neighbors they'll move soon, just consume.There.
There they are!
The incels talking in absolutes again. Just because (You) and the trashy people you hang around with are like this, doesn't mean everyone is forced to live like the meme consoomer (though in America, it's quite hard not to, but let's all hope that third world country slides into irrelevance soon).
I'm living 800km away from my parents, 1000km from my uncle and 600km from the inlaws in the opposite direction, yet I'm always in contact with family (though lately, mostly by facetime) and my typical consoomer items are 4 years old (Laptop, bought used), 3 years old (phone, the one before that finally died after 5 years of use, both bought on discount because they were getting discontinued) and between 40 and 1 years old (furniture, mix of stuff I got from the extended family, used, vintage and a few new things when saving time is more important than saving money) and my clothing is almost all brandless, high quality and slowly moving towards bespoke stuff (though only when I really need something because something finally gave out, hence, very slowly).
Now I'm not opposed to living with family, I'd absolutely move in with my parents* if I'd move back home for work, but it's not like you're forced to live the stupid consoomer live when you're on your own.
In fact, most of the meme consoomers here (or on reddit, I'd guess) do still live with their parents and just use all their money saved for more consooming…
*I lied. I wouldn't, because my sister and her husband and kids are already living with them, and the house is too small for 3 families, but besides this technicality, I absolutely would.
