>>2140063Holy shit... And here I thought a compass was for nerds. I would never put something that incel looking on my wrist
>>2140153Sheesh that thing is like $300. I was only trying to spend $50-100 which I already consider a lot for a compass. Which brings me to another question. Why are compasses so fucking expensive. I was considering getting the suunto mc-2g but its roughly $90 on its website. It's listed on amazon too for $50-60 but it seems to be a knockoff judging by a lot of the reviews.
I read some really old threads from like 2000-2010 on some random forums. And apparently a lot of hiking boomers have like 15-20 year old compasses that they claim were built more durably and as a result have been reliable for all those years without fail. Meanwhile I read many reviews of these newly made compasses eventually giving out after a couple months or years. I feel like I'm paying a lot of $$ on something I can't be certain will last a longtime or be reliable which kind of defeats the purpose. Im not some richfag that can spend $90 on a compass every 2 years
Anyways, thanks for all the info u anons posted here, and for the funny posts too heh
