I never weighed my rig. One of the guys who I rode with guessed 80 lbs of gear + bike, which seems a little high to me, but probably in the right ballpark.
Skipping ahead a bit in photo land, here's a shot from Montana. I was very dissapointed with the part of Missoula I saw, and the camping in Montana was pretty bad as the land near the roads I took was all private, but this morning was pretty awesome.
In the town I stayed at the night before, there was a little building for touring cyclists in the park which featured a shower and some picnic tables under a roof. There were walls too, but as I learned as I went to bed, they were a few inches above the ground at the bottom, so mosquitoes could fly in. I ended up putting up my tent outside.
