Not sure if it counts but I do vertical caving. I've always been interested in trad climbing, but the exposure/lack of things to put my ass on is something I'm not used to. How big of a deal is falling while climbing? A lot of the times you're not on rope while caving, so falling generally implies a terrible and really inconvenient death down a dark pit and it kinda freaks me out thinking about hanging onto a wall for a couple hours or more.
