Sup my dudes. I'm in southern Georgia for work for about 5 months, maybe a bit less. There's a big ass pond here, caught pic related there. Absolute piggy of a bluegill, and I have giant hands.
Anyway, any recommendations for pond/lake fishing here with a fly rod? I almost only fly fish for salmon and trout in the Pacific Northwest in rivers so this is all new territory for me. I'm pretty sure this pond has some carp catfish largemouth and also tons of bluegill. I have a three-weight a 5-weight and an 8 weight and the three weight was a hoot the throw little poppers out of the bluegill. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated ranging from what flies I should use to time of day and weather to fish.
