When I first posted that trail runners were suitable for 99% of hiking it was hyperbol. You've set up some ever shfiting goal posts and haven't provided any actually content. Show some pics, tell a story, whatever. I know what I enjoy hiking in, I've been using my current foot wear set up for years in a wide range of climates. I've made peace with the cons and am happy with the compromises.
