Skip all of this bullshit gas-mask crap and just get yourself a decent air quality meter, if you encounter bad air you would be stupid to continue and you really shouldn't be down there without one, also be aware that the air in these places pool at the ground, you can be walking along breathing oxygen, stir up some bad air pooling at the bottom and asphyxiate yourself.
Exploring tunnels and drains is fucking stupid unless you are trained.
