>>492464Are you high? Like, seriously.
>>492868You've got a point, but it's annoying how many people are taken in by his shit. If his name gets muttered at my uni club, I get pissed off as a real warbow archer (and student engineer - paradox is real #dynamics), and the history students go thru the roof he's so full of shit
This is my new Warbow, Hickory Back, Purpleheart Core, Lemonwood belly.
She shoots around 105# @ 32", although haven't quite got their yet. Definitely pulls atleast 85lbs at 28" (my "bow scales" [luggage scales] don't go up that high)
Bought her from Cambridge Longbows. He's pretty new on the scene, but it does shoot nicely. I'm about to finish a self bow myself, 74" nock-nock (same as this warbow) but only about 16-18lbs @ 28" (so my mother can shoot it) It'll be my first bow, and I'll post some more pics in a month or so... quite busy with uni atm, although I've got all horn work done (nocks and arrow pass) and she shoots beautifully, its just finishing off, sanding and oiling. (Also, the tiler isn't great, the lower limb bends less but I daren't take any more off and she shoots beautifully) As a note, the self bow I'm making is American Ash, and, sadly, will probably be classed as a flat bow, not a longbow, due to width-depth dimensions.
>>492825Compounds are gay. But technologically? They're great. Less skill required to shoot to the same level, but more if you want to shoot at their level. I wouldn't shoot them, and it'd make more sense to use a compound crossbow in my eyes, but...
