>>2853554>Is there anything you are supposed to to a tobacco tin before you smoke it? Like I think I saw in a video where I learned the basics of packing that you are supposed to let it air out a bit before you smoke it to keep it from being too wet or something like that.I mean, not really. I guess if you smoke aromatics then tobacco can be really "wet" and you'd want it to sit out for a while so it stays lit easier. Or maybe sometimes that can happen with non-aromatics as well. Either way, for me I just smoke it. I do usually put it into an 8oz mason jar though. The little short fat ones. Not necessary if you're smoking it, but it can maybe dry out too much if you leave it in the tin with the seal opened without smoking it. I know I've had that happen when ordering too much bulk and not putting all the baggies into jars.
>>2853555>I assume that the bit and stem are the same, right? The blue colored part on this one?Yes. "Bit" is probably a more appropriate term, my apologies. Not necessary to get an acrylic one, but the plastic one most of them come with will wear out eventually if he's got it in his mouth all day. By the time it wears out, he should probably know if it's something that he wants to get into or not, and he might want to buy a briar pipe at that point, but if you get an acrylic stem then it can add longevity to the pipe, assuming he doesn't burn through the bowl somehow. I don't know how finnicky corncobs are long term, but I smoked mine exclusively for like 3 or 4 months and didn't burn through anything but I also wasn't smoking multiple bowls back to back to back.
