What I've planted so far in my new raised beds has been doing rather well. Lots of rain lately. The beds don't get saturated and muddy since they are so well draining. I have to water them quite often.
The blue barrel is doing exceptionally well. I have lamb's quarter and dandelion sprouts in the top that are only now large enough to transplant to the other side of the barrel around the vertical side.
All the kale is amazing. Some of the original, non-transplanted stuff is over 3 feet tall now! All the plants together are large enough now to start harvesting a leaf here and there.
The potatoes and the pepper plants are all sort of stalled atm. It's been rainy, but warm. They are most likely putting out tons of roots. The peppers all have flowers on them. The sunchokes are growing very tall now and are the tallest plants in the beds. I thought I had some marigold seedlings coming up, but it was soon obvious those were just common ragweed.
The transplanted lamb's quarter is also doing really well the raised beds. There's 100s of seedlings in the beds, but I don't have room for them and have to remove them.
