>>2517799nice. Yeah the fall is probably the best time to do it. We went in October and had sunny weather in the 70s the entire time. Was great. We only did a day hike up to the peak though, no camping with my better half. But there is a campground about 2 hours or so before you get to the peak. I'd love to go back and do a few more trails but it's a 9 hour drive from where I live. If you need a nice place to stay we spent 2 nights at Hotel El Capitan in Van Horn and recommend it.
