Bolo is great for soft wood, harder stuff wrecks the edge altho my Tramontina is easy enough to sort. I'd never consider taking a billhook out to cut branches, I tried jst because but never again. It's great for clearing gorse, dog rose, bramble whatever. Small axe goes through picrel quicker but it's also heavier.
