If I could tell teenage-me 1 thing about the knife collecting hobby, it would be to buy my mom some amazing kitchen knives. Some German chef knife, some Japanese ones, a good paring knife and learn to cook from here. Fuck all this LARP shit where you go hike or fishing and cut a string a few times a year.... Get good cooking shit, it gets used daily. THAT is where you really learn about different steels.
