Pack extra underwear. From there it gets comfy pretty quick. A lot of animals that hoot and screech like murder victims at night are tiny cute things that you can play Disney Princess when you get to know them better.

Man I had a crippling fear of the dark until a remote rural job forced me to camp in a dilapidated farmhouse (with the land owners consent) for a year while looking for a rental property, some 120yo 6-bedroom 14' ceiling Adams Family mansion that had a bat colony in the ceiling and termite colonies in the walls. You shit yourself once then twice then three times when bats pop out of the kitchen cabinets and you hear the vibration before the flying termites burst through a bedroom wall, or hear nothing when you almost step on a little tree python that coiled up right under the bottom step of the weird sunroom, but you get over it and start laughing soon enough. Nature makes a lot of noise and gets all up in your shit but it's mostly harmless.
Be scared but go anyway. Pack your tent and go somewhere safe and just conquer the fear. I believe in you anon xoxo
