Your best bet is anything flashy that represents a dying baitfish. Pike are very opportunistic and will take a falling spoon any day over following a quick moving swimbait for 20 yards like a muskie would. In terms of casting nothing has got me more pike than a Johnson's weedless, but my dad caught a 36 inch Canadian northern with a worm so do not be afraid to get creative if other methods are not working.
