The 500 and 1000 denier bags are heavy as fuck, Maxpedition, SOE, TAD, Eberlestock, Condor, Eagle Industries etc etc. MR leans much more toward this category, that being said, HPG uses a lot more modern materials pushing their equipment into the same class as Osprey, Gregory, Arc'teryx etc. That's why I'm leaning towards HPG.
I love Osprey, I actually have two myself, just nothing in the size that I'm want for this configuration.
Well, it all comes down to construction, stitching etc, but you can't tell me that 1000 denier cordura is more fragile then modern ultralight materials.
