The entire damn Armée de terre walks around in civvy boots, mainly Lowas, because FELIN boots are utter fucking garbage and absolute murder on your feet. And that's coming from an army that stomped about for years in fucking Rangers (pic related) that turned your feet into hamburger within half an hour of marching and took boiling in hot water to break in.
Haven't met a soldier so far who didn't fucking hate his issued boots.
