And pumpkins are in! Actually they were in this morning, but I don't like taking pictures at that time cause the light is too strong and robs all the details. Nine pumpkins planted, 4 on one side, 4 on the other and one at the mast. Unfortunately I had to settle for miracle-gro for the planting area, their "performance mix" or whatever in the black bag. I don't know how well it works, but I chose it over the standard stuff since it doesn't contain any plastics, or so the ingredients say. The NPK content is a pretty good amount higher, so I really hope it doesn't become too much for my pumpkins to handle early on, though I didn't use that much.
Anyways, crossing my fingers and hoping all goes well. This is my favorite part and I'd hate to have it ruined or cut short prematurely. The birds seemed to have buggered off now, so I don't think I have to worry about them. Just the bugs and potential fungi when it rains.
God, I absolutely can't wait for September to come.
