I've bought a couple of ladies knives, and I highly recommend the shorter Opinel slims, ideally in the gorgeous bubinga (the longer ones are more filet knives to the point of not handling average tasks well).
It's more "feminine", which usually swoons them even if they're not knife people (unless it's some tomboy functionality oriented type).
