I climbed up to around 12k feet on Jebel M'goun starting from 6k. We spent 6 days on the approach so I thought I'd be acclimatized but I was crosseyed from the elevation before too long. I chose that mountain deliberately because the geology is different than the more popular Toubkal, where the ground is just slippery scree granola bullshit. M'goun is all limestone. It's pretty cool to be so high up and see fossils of aquatic sea creatures in every rock face.
The snow was so deep on top we couldn't summit.
