This thread is giving me immense feels.
I live far away from the sea in a small town among the plains. As a kid, when everyone wanted to be either a farmer, or a truck driver, I wanted to be a firefighter. On a boat.
To help people like when the titanic happens (yeah, that movie came out that year).
Or a demolition specialist. On a boat. So I could aim my cannons at old bulldings and just raze them.
Anyway I never became a sailor and in my mid 30s I've been to the beach twice. In all my life
