>>821926>Hollow body frog?top water shit sounds neat, how well does it fare with deep weed beds though? i found a hula popper in a bush and ended up giving it to this friendly black guy who gave me a shitload of beginner fishing info a few months ago, he tied my line up with a jighead/grub and said to reel in three times, stop, tilt the rod up three times, repeat. caught my first fish in years (pic) by doing that for an hour. i dont own any hard lures though, so i guess ill go look for some frogs at a tackle shop (this fucking guy makes his own soft plastic worms and sells a baggie of five for $1.50 or three bags for $5, they've worked wonderfully)
the water around the dock is real fucking deep, let my line sink to the bottom and it took quite a while, as i reeled up a lot of smaller fish started chasing it from the depths and disappeared quickly. there's two general weed beds to the left and right of the dock, left bed is deep as fuck and isn't even visible some days, right bed is a bit more shallower and the bass ive caught there came from towards the right. im sure topwater stuff would work well there, if not, the opposite side of the river has a broken bridge i can climb down and fish from, very shallow but filled with weeds. most of the boat anglers tend to sit over there.
the real problem in this spot is that its next to a marina; i dont care about quiet slow moving fishing boats, but today some cunt docked literally four meters in front of me and sat there trying to get a lifejacket on his walrus tier son, pretty much restricting everyone from casting for a solid 10 minutes. or these fuckers who fly by in their large vessels and soak half the dock. almost lost my tacklebox because i underestimated the waves.
