>>1487026>private boater>not (you)bh cape cod special with a 14x (14000) spinning for 6x-7x.
spinning has been proven to have the least resistance for bait fishing..you just dont know how to fish a baitrunner type reel...you open the bail like a conventional..set the runner drag light af..when you get picked up you flip the bail and the lever which switches the drag to the front (main) drag positions the hook (*spinning reels with baitrunner make using circle hooks much more effective than conventional) turn the knob some and the front drag sets the hook perfectly in the corner of the mouth. job done..
I get bit more on 6x jr's, I re-ring & drill them and the hips get grinded, they spin, flutter, swim & fall better. I add a stinger to the front of them and fish them long fall then rip them up like yoyo. white flat falls been killing it for us and they suit my 14x perfect. white green mac flat fall just cast and swam have been ticket there. we pulled cows in vallarta on them and the skipper was begging us to give him one.
wrapped knife jigs they have taken up most of the spots in the jig boxes instead of irons, but I still have literally buckets of iron because my dad was a gear hoarder. caught doh-doh's on a birdshit pattern 45 left and right last week on break. was weird cuz I stick to basic colors and they only bit the birdshit 45 light because it truthfully swims the best because of the zinc. tony the tiger marauders were smashing wahoo on the troll, had the mexican capt asking if he could have one..basically a big ass expensive rattletrap. bombs didnt work off the cruisers for 4 days tyring. we even trolled one but onle got jumbo needlefish.
squidco sold halco poppers in the 80's to everyone going long range...
A wall of them they did had...
boy.
