No one challenge remains: If you are anything like me, then you probably dont know shit about farming or homesteading. However, through WWOOF you can find a farm in your area where you volunteer to learn organic farming practices. You and your gf can get experience and knowledge through this way.
There are a lot of different people on Youtube who believe many different things who have gone offgrid. Everyone from Thulean Perspective to Wranglestar to Viking Preparedness. I hate to say this, but if they can accomplish this what is stopping us? Live extremely frugally, learn what your real needs are and save money. Before you know it, you'll be a free man on your land.
