The insert in one of my eyelets broke, and I’m looking for a new rod. I could fix it but it was a hand me down and has at least 20 years of fishing on it at this point. It was a medium light Shimano convergence. I thought it was heavy for its rating and lacked sensitivity compared to a bps microlight I own. I’m not sure if I should step up to a medium or replace it with another medium light? I love throwing 1/16 or 1/8oz jigs with small swim baits, small jerk baits, in creeks and public parks. I’ve read a lot about the Daiwa Aird-x, I can’t find a medium light in person. I also hear they’re a little on the softer side.
I pulled this ugly turd out with it.
