>>1778059I would not use colored mulch. Beyond home improvement store/garden centers, your municipality may have a way to get mulch/compost if they handle yard waste. Or you can order it from a company by the cubic yard or truckload, not too expensive IME. Or look for natural mulch available. I like to use pine needles or sea weed.
How can the hens not be inspired to sit on this beautiful pile of eggs? Get so excited when I peek and see one on the nest, but they don’t stay, just contribute. Spouse started raiding it for breakfast. Getting a little ridiculous, 20 some eggs there. At some point need to give up on them going broody.
