>>1678631There's another option. Get some welded wire fencing and make compost towers. Plant around those. Water them when you water the plants. Keyhole gardens and 55gal barrel gardens make good use of them. It is a form of side dressing "hot" materials like fresh manure or compost. Some people use perforated pipes, wood slats, buckets with holes, or fencing wire lined with straw. It can be in-ground or on top of the ground. The latter will be more portable. Basically, you just toss in new materials all year long and forget about it. Once it is full you just toss things into another one. Empty the old one next season.
