>>1230065While that is true, people will mimic what is shown in the show. That include children, not just man children. That can be a huge problem if they are showing something that has a high degree of potential danger. At least with this one they show it going wrong and give a little explanation as to why. What they don't show is doing it correctly by digging a small hole to put it in like a shallow cup holder which will prevent that from happening. Even if they did, I doubt they'd even know to probe deeper to search for tree roots before starting a fire on the ground.
The show, to some small degree, is intended to teach people things. It is falling short of this due to faulty information or lack of complete information about what is shown. Something as simple as building a fire on one of those fire tables has to be done in a special way to reduce the chances of a log shifting and rolling off. Stuff like this is only really important because it involves sharp tools (personal safety) and fire (wildfire prevention & personal safety).
