For water, bring iodoine or boil/filter your water. Here is a simple water filter, these can be made with a jug, 2 liter, bucket, multiple buckets whatever. It will purify surface and well water into clear pure water, which can be boiled or distilled if you want to sterilized it for safety.
Water is crucial, and if you dig deep enough, as you are next to a creek, you will run into underground water. This is fresh water that you can retreive from underground and purify/sterilize into clean, fresh pure water. Or, you can filter and sterilize it from the creek directly. Otherwise, iodine will kill the microbes, but not the minerals or chlorophyll.
