Looking at the bottom row, the HR (Hazard Ratio) for all cancers amongst ever pipe/cigar smokers is 1.05, when compared to people that have never smoked tobacco.
In other words, if I understand correctly, the increased risk of cancer in smoking a pipe/cigar is 5% over people who've never smoked.
Does that not seem quite small to anyone else? Almost negligible? I have seen other studies though that have a HR for all cancer of pipe smokers at around 1.40, so I'm not sure what to believe.
