I dug enough finished compost out of my pile on the weekend to top up the potato bags. The compost is working a lot better this year that it did last year. I think I kept it too dry last year.
At the end of this season I'm going to save my container soil instead of just dumping it in the main garden. Between the 15 vegetable containers and various flower ones that's a lot of container soil to buy every year. I'll buy a few large garbage cans to store it over the winter.
