Well, fishing did not go well this morning. I wanted to throw my damned fly rod into the trash and be done with it at one point....lol. I managed to tangle my line with itself and/or the rod several times. I was able to untangle it a couple times, but I had to completely cut off one entire leader. I'm thinking I may need to take an actual class with someone that can tell me "You think you're doing this, but you're really doing that". I got one good, solid cast about every 10 attempts or so. I finally got frustrated and switched out to a dry fly and it was so much easier than that nymph. I was still only landing a good cast every 5-7 casts wit that too. I'm still flicking it at the end. I've spent a lot of time fixing in that muscle memory, now I'm having to unlearn it and it's frustrating. But I'm not giving up, certainly not after only my second time on the water with it. Just venting some frustration :P
On a more positive not! My dad did catch a nice rainbow as long as my forearm on a little mepps aglia.
