I keep two knives in my kill kit.
One is a Gerber vital. Having replaceable blades makes the job of skinning and quartering an elk go so much faster when you don’t need to stop and touch up your blade. The other knife is an old hunting knife that my grandpa gave me. I keep that knife for cutting through tough spots on the hide.
