It becomes an echo chamber of sorts, with everyone parroting the same crap. Years back everyone had Tarp Tents dick firmly secured in their mouths (all the way to the nuts). There was no dissenting; you either sucked off Tarp Tent or your opinion didn’t count. Ask for shelter advice on /out/ and it’s a very mixed bag, but unfortunately too many kids will recommend bivvies, which are terrible for numerous reasons.
Reddit also isn’t as much fun. The format doesn’t allow for easy image posting, so memes don’t really form. That’s always been an advantage of image boards. The memes keep things entertaining, even if it’s a new version of a stale meme format.
A big one for me is the language moderation. Sometimes people need to be called retarded nigger faggots because they’re being a retarded nigger faggot. Reddit doesn’t even allow you to call a pedophile a groomer.
