I was unsure weather or not to keep it and kept it in the tiny "live well (barrel with holes in it ) " for an hour while I contemplated it, but I think it was too small a spot for him. I ended up letting him go but it was during a storm and he washed back up later. Biggest regret not making a clear decision right away. Such a beautiful fish that died without being eaten and didn't get to swim the rest of its days out. I only ever release big fish now and only keep a few inches above the limit. Taste better that way anyhow.
