I grew up in Tanzania and make an effort to visit every year. I climbed Mt Meru a couple of years ago and it was fantastic. It's smaller than Kilimanjaro but a much better walk as the track isn't strewn with rubbish and there isn't a que of rich cunts trying to prove something.
